Below are some sceens from around the area where the Tod Engine resides.

Our first look at the Tod Engine....

Those huge 5 3/4 inch nuts....

Some archiving going on....

DJ gets up high on the flywheel to get leverage on the pipe....

Still working on the 24 flywheel nuts...

Some of the nuts & bolts where in tight spots....

The 3 1/8 inch socket and one of the bolts....

Half of the 5 3/4 inch nuts are off....

The 10 ton crane arrives....

We rotated the flywheel with the crane to get at the next 12 flywheel nuts....

On January 8th & 9th Dave Rotigel and myself went to Youngstown to help Rick Rolands accomplish some more work on the Tod Engine. The following are some pictures from the event.....

We used a 10 ton port-a-power to push out a couple of the 5 3/4 inch flywheel bolts and also to loosen the last nut holding the high pressure cylinder on...

One of the 5 3/4 inch bolts is pushed out about 7 inches, and finally one is out. Also there is a shot looking in one of the flywheel bolt holes....

It was so cold that we had to thaw out our handi-wipes....

The huge cross-head, high pressure side....

The William Tod name-plate, working hard to get it off. Finally she slips off....

A look down the high pressure cylinder side....

This is a view looking down the 6 drive-shaft support bearings....

We also monitored the flywheel temp., It stayed right at 25 deg. F. on the 8th and dropped to 22 deg. F. on the 9th....
